Function
Device digitizes measured phase voltage and current in one phase. Then, from those values, parameters like: power factor, effective values of voltage and current, apparent power and reactive power, are calculated. With consideration of requested cosφ it calculated need compensation power. According to its size, regulator switches on or off appropriate capacitor stages.
Within the scope of each power level, regulator uses method of circle switching. All the time connects this stage at appropriate power level which was switched off for longest time. Everything is made so that regulator will reach optimal compensation in one regulation cycle with minimum number of switched stages.
Software
Thanks for software Power Monitor System is possible controllers with RS485 easily configured and also use for monitoring of PFC systems.
MQTT
An integrated Ethernet interface with MQTT support enables seamless integration into modern energy management, SCADA, and IoT systems, allowing efficient remote monitoring and data acquisition. Dedicated mobile applications for iOS and Android provide convenient access to real-time measurements, controller status, alarms, and configuration directly from a smartphone or tablet.
OLED graphic display
A high-resolution OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) graphic display presents all key measurements and controller status on one screen, providing an instant overview of both the compensation system and the electrical network. The intuitive interface enables fast commissioning, simplified operation, and efficient diagnostics.
Alarms
Power factor controllers GCR06 and GCR12 have several alarms which are adjustable by level, min time of event, action on regulated steps etc. Special alarm from temperature is able to control forced ventilation of PFC and protect capacitor steps against higher temperature.
De-compensation
The controllers GCR06 and GCR12 have features for smart de-compensation with several reactor steps operating in a similar way as capacitor steps or only one reactor that is tuned by capacitor steps.
Ethernet
PF controller is equipped with Ethernet interface with a communication protocol Modbus TCP for easy installation to existing LAN and implementation into SCADA software.
One and three phase current sensing
In unbalanced systems it is necessary to measure current in each phase and calculate needed compensation power from real three-phase powers. GCR06ET and GCR12ET controllers are available with three current inputs.
3ph or 1ph capacitors operation
The T version additionally supports control of three-phase and single-phase capacitor banks, as well as detuned reactors, providing maximum flexibility for a wide range of compensation applications.
PG Monitor App
Power Grid Monitor is a mobile application available for Android and iOS operating systems that allows access to online grid power factor controller data anywhere around the world. This application communicates with the company server, which only serves as an intermediary between the network analyzer and the application itself. All data is stored in the power factor controller. You can use the web interface of the Power Grid Monitor application to access online data from a personal computer or device with a different operating system.
